Random Things

Hey there! Sorry that I've been absent for a while, I've been trying to soak up as much sun as possible in the past few weeks! The weather has been absolutely beautiful here. The only negative thing about summer in Florida are the thunderstorms. Everyday around three in the afternoon, you can pretty much count on a downpour! Of course that makes it rather difficult to make plans! For a straight week it will rain at about the same time each day, but then the day that you decide to go to the beach it storms about two hours earlier and lasts the entire day!
Here I have a birthday card I made a while back. It uses a fun fiskars set called petals from scratch. I just love the whimsical images in this set, they are so fun to color!

I was at Michael's the other day and discovered that Studio G makes FLOCKING! I've never used flocking before, but always wanted to try, so these little flocking samples were perfect. Well,  I went to Joann's and got a Palette glue pad, but was terribly dissapointed. It doesn't get sticky enough to hold anything. Is it just old, or is there a better product out there I should get?
You've gotta love clearance! While at Michael's, I also picked up a little 3/4 inch square punch from EK Success and some SEI paper on clearance. And that's what I used to make this fun summer-y card. :)

That's all I've got for today! I'd love to hear your thoughts on that gluepad.

Birthday and butterflies

Hi there! This little card was shipped out to my aunt a couple days ago. I stamped the sentiment using this set that I picked up a couple of days ago at Michael's (you can also get it here at Two Peas). This is an awesome set, so versatile. The letters line up perfectly to make this adorable, flawless script. love playing around with different sentiments.

Then I simply masked off the sentiment and stamped the background with distress inks. Drew a few lines with a black pen and pierced along the lines. super simple and easy. It needed a  pop of color so I added a line of butterflies that I punched with my martha stewart punches.
